You are invited to come and experience deep rest and relaxation in these seasonal 1/2 day yin yoga workshops for men and women.
Some Background: What is Yin Yoga?
Yin yoga works with the connective tissue of the body, including the fascia, cartilage ligaments and tendons. It is a wonderful practice for cultivating flexibility. It is designed to calm, rather than energise. It allows the parasympathetic nervous system to relax, heal and repair the body.
In Yin yoga we feel and release tensions that are deep within us. It is a deep meditation where we still the mind, experience greater clarity and peace of mind.
“I love the feeling of my body letting go of all that stuff”
“It’s amazing surrender for me, and sooooooo relaxing”
Energetically Yin yoga also works on the meridian system, harnessing the healing benefits of the 5-Elements.
Practicing specific Yin yoga postures and sequences that are aligned with the seasonal cycles of the year, can bring great benefits to our health, well-being, energy levels and vitality.
These Seasonal Yin yoga workshops for men and women are designed according the 5-elements and the energetics of the season, to harness the innate energy, healing and creative potential in our bodies, the seasons of the year and our lives.
These wonderfully nurturing Yin Workshops are perfect for tuning in to the energy of the season, and my own desires and needs. Jane creates such a safe and reassuring environment in which to really let go of the external and completely nourish body, mind and soul. A quarterly treat! Rachel
The Seasonal Yin Workshops also includes the powerful and deeply healing Yoga Nidra practice. Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep) is a deeply, restorative and restful practice and when we include the creation of a personalised seasonal Sankalpa it can be a supportive practice to help bring our intentions into reality.
Workshops are held close to the new moon, which is potent time to set intentions for the month ahead and beyond!
These workshops are now open to men and women. Beginners and advanced yoga students are welcome. No yoga experience is necessary. However, Yin Yoga can be seen as a more ‘advanced’ practice, where it requires some mind body awareness.
